Dr Naky: Announcement to patients 19th April 2022

Dear patients and colleagues

Whether we like it or not; most workers will reach the 'rite of passage' to reach retirement. For me, the time has come knocking on my door.

A notepad and pen

I graduated as a doctor more than 34yrs ago and I have more recently enjoyed many happy years working as a GP in the UK; the last 20yrs at Willesborough Health Centre, now Ashford Medical Partnership. However, a change in personal circumstances has now led me to the decision to retire.

I would like to wish all patients past and present all the very best and thanks especially to my colleagues for supporting me with this difficult decision. I leave my patients in the capable hands of those who remain at Ashford Medical Partnership, and I will be with the Practice until the end of July 2022.

I will miss Surgery life and despite the decision made, I may return for a few sessions from time to time and will be pleased to see patients. My interest and heart is with AMP as it always has been for the past 20yrs+.

Again, I extend my sincerest gratitude to all my companions, colleagues and staff, who  supported me  through my journey  over the last 20 years , in  both good and challenging times.

For now, farewell but not goodbye!

Dr Amir Naky
