How to Make and Cancel an Appointment

Our appointment system makes it easier for our patients to access healthcare services. Our receptionist will ask for a brief description of your needs in order to signpost you to the appropriate healthcare professional. We will be offering on the day, telephone and face-to-face slots that are pre-bookable.

Telephone consultation is offered on a daily basis at your request or depending on your clinical need. Telephone consultations have proven to be very popular with our patients and is an alternative to coming to see a doctor face to face.  Please note our receptionists will ask you for the reason for your appointment in order to direct you to the correct service or practitioner.

Book face-to-face or remote appointments with your GP, nurse or clinician at a time that suits you.

Your details and information are protected by the highest standards of online security, so all you need to worry about is what to do with the spare time you’ve earnt.

Nurse Appointments

All bookings with the nurses/HCA's  must be made via the receptionist. Not all our nurses provide the same clinical services so it is important that the receptionist books you with the appropriate member of the team.

Emergencies

In an emergency (suspected heart attack, severe bleeding or loss of consciousness dial 999 for an ambulance.

 

Improved Access

This Practice offers additional pre-booked, non urgent appointments as part of the improved access scheme operating across all Ashford Practices. A pool of additional appointments is offered mainly with HCAs, nurses, nurse practitioners and physiotherapists which patients can access, which includes the possibility of being offered an appointment at another local Practice rather than the one you are registered with. Our additional appointments are offered on a Monday, Wednesday and Thursday evenings and on Saturday mornings but other appointments are available at other Practices throughout the week across Ashford.
